Another pic, again just trying to get all my basics right.

Cropped and placed eyes on a third
Subtle smoothing of skin, and added a little contrast and vignette.

Im not sure what else I could do to get more out of this, but would appreciate suggestions.

Thanks
Az

Aah, such a sad face. Was his big brother picking on him again? Or was he naighty & got told off? Smile

A very lovely & sensitive study of the young man, whatever tribulations he was going through.

The boy looks good Az. You have controlled the lighting well which is not always easy with candid shots. Always worth having a quick look at what is happening in the background. Slight distractions here but they are easy to clone out - see mod.

best wishes

Catherine

Hi Catherine,

Yes I was pondering on that background, and wondering if was a big distraction to clone it or not. As per your mod, definatley better. Thanks alot, much appreciated.

Another good one, Az, with competent editing, and you have a bit more space above the head in this one. The main problem has been dealt with by Catherine. The only other thing I would say is that eye contact would be a bonus, but I do like his expression and furrowed brow.
Pamela.

This is a rather nice child portrait of a candid type. The only problem, if at all, is the bit of background detail on the extreme right which does intrude a bit. Rather than cloning, I would treat it to the burning in tool - thus still there but much darker.
