This was taken at Landguard Fort in Felixstowe just a short while after my previous uploads from the other end of Felixstowe. Although the sun was now up in a clear sky and I would've ordinarily headed home for some breakfast I decided to try for another simple composition with a mono conversion in mind.
I don't normally go in for giving the history on places but I was curious about what this 'jetty' was used for. Apparently it was used to transport mines via hand pushed carts for use in the estuary to help protect Harwich harbour back in the day.
Anyhow, have a good evening and thanks for taking a look.
