Whilst technically not an island, this promontory was isolated from the rest of the surrounding landscape by this lovely early morning inversion. Taken overlooking Grasmere in the Lake District.

One from last year in the Lakes with my lovely wife!!!

Thank you Elaine. Yeah we had a lovely elevated vantage point. Whacking on the longest lens yielded some lovely detail studies, it was just a matter of waiting for the mist to come and go at the right time Smile
