This is a Devil Mantis....Captured at night on the wall of our out-side open kitchen...The previous image...the Hummingbird moth was originally sat on the curtain of the outside kitchen it then flew onto the Bougavillia...the outside lights attract the insects at night as there are many flying knats, tiny moths etc & other biting things.we also have resident house Geckos who hide in the cracks & crannies of the outside wall as well as inside of the house waiting for a meal....Smile

He does look like the devil himself-- He will eat a few of the gnats-- a superb image of this difficult to photograph critter!

Amazing. They can't make up things like this even in alien films. It's beautiful in a quirky way. Very nicely separated from the b/g. Sweet.
