This variety of Dicentra (spectabilis alba) grows well in my garden & flowers all the way into mid Summer.
Taken using window light against a piece of netting..which I think adds to the texture layers I have added too.
Raw files converted in Lightroom, textures added on adjustment layers with different blending modes.
Slight curves tweak for a touch more contrast.
I tried to keep this one fairly light & airy,to try & match the delicate flowers.
F22 manual mode
Tripod
Pattern metering
F/L 50mm
My apologies for the lack of comments recently but my computer gave up the Ghost when I was subject to a nasty scareware virus which just about wiped me out
Luckily the computer Doctor managed to save my pictures that I had not backed up onto my external hard drive...phew ! So I have been trying to use the Laptop which is a bit old & not colour balanced ![]()
All seems well now,I'm keeping my fingers crossed !
Thanks for dropping by,enjoy what is left of the Bank Holiday.

Congratulations......well done.....spiffing example...superb work...terrific presentation...just don't know what to say realy...come on normal me...your aving a bath...er sorry laugh!
To offer some constructive critique: The vision is quite delightful, we're all agreed on that. But there's a confusion of dimensional planes. I feel the netting needs a little separation from the vase and flowers - beautiful flowers, by the way! you garden must be lovely! - or the eye is confounded by the very 3D vase and the way the top of the stem seems almost part of the background. Or maybe that was the intention? Anyway - cat, pigeons, discuss!
Cheers.
Wow, it looks like this is painted...so beautiful!
I love it!
