This was taken today on yet another visit to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Dimitri the Amur leopard walked over and looked straight down the lens, the light caught his eyes showing this fantastic blue. If you have seen my previous shots you will know my obsession with these amazing creatures and that they are on the point of extinction in the wild. This would be a crime if it were to happen and leave the world a much poorer place. Just tell me you can`t look into his eyes and not feel a little moved! I would encourage anyone to go along and see them and help towards saving this amazing leopard! I felt priveleged that he gave me this shot and I actually thanked him!!,,,,regards IanSmile

You are right, I did feel moved looking into his eyes, beautifully captured by yourself.

This is just beautiful.....anyone who has a cat as a pet knows this look of trust in their eyes.

Never seen it in a wild cat though.

Beautiful Ian, must be very rare to get an eye contact quite like that.

Nice narrative to boot... we owe nature a lot.
