Quite lovely is this Koen.
I quite like it as it is but you can do a lot with this, clone out the bright spec in front of the music book, and remove the figure 3 shape in front of the girls face that looks like hair.
cheers Paul. don't particularly like the second mod... too much glow for my taste. Good point about the 3 that you removed in the first mod. guess you know by know that I quite like this photo. There are a few things that bothered me (boy's hands not enough in the frame, girls eyes closed) a little, but didn't 'ruin' things for me. Still think that slant window is a real party pooper though ![]()
pretty cool
maybe more hands involved would be even better
pianos are all about the hands

Stop punishing yourself Koen, the girls eyes, the hands and the window are all just fine.
don't get me wrong Paul. I really like the photo. it's just that on a higher level it just comes short. It's the kind of pic that would do good on 1x. And with just the hands- and closed eyes-'flaws' I might have considered submitting it in screening there (though if it would be rejected for those reasons I would still think 'fair enough'). But it's that window that stops me from submitting it. that window makes a rejection almost evident for me, despite other strong parts of the picture. I might even be slightly disappointed if it would be accepted lol.
Lovely memory shot, i like the light on the boys face; i personally like both Pauls's mods esp the 1st.
There is somting about the angles in this shot with the keys sloping up to the kids and the window frame sloping down, it gives it more energy but looks squashed?
