We were driving near Alston last week when i spotted this Stoat trying to drag this Rabbit into the grass. I turned the car round and went back and watched him for about ten minutes. There is some noise in the shot due to 800 iso, and i shot from the car so no tripod.

Well caught by both the stoat and you! It always amazes me that stoats can get the better of a prey species so much larger than themselves! It does look slightly peeved that its lunch was disrupted by a passing 'togger!!

very well taken shot. I have seen this several times while out and about and once the stoat has spotted the rabbit it simply chases it until the rabbit can go no further, the rabbit knows of course heading for it's burrow is no help as the stoat can follow it down there.
