Thought the fg looked a little messy at first, hence the title, but I liked the light on the grasses and the interesting sky. Just across the road from Coniston yesterday in between the hail showers. Although its not obvious in this image the water is still frozen!

Great colour to the grasses and that sky is very moody and impressive.
In fact the tree and area around it is so great I'd be tempted to try a square crop to lose the LHS which is a bit dark and uninteresting, maybe so the tree is on the midline? I might also clone out the powerlines where they come in from the RHS. Minor points in a lovely image though Smile

A most beautiful landscape, captured from a great point of view. The golden grasses against the overhanging skies is simply wonderful.

A landscape in the grip of winter: nice shot, Geoff, love the colour in the grasses, and I think the square crop does appeal to me too.
