I could not resist this cute young male Kingfisher.
Thank you for taking a look, I am always looking to improve so please feel free to C&C
I assume he can't read
A little tight in the frame maybe but a photo like this should be a good seller.
Good capture and detail.
Brilliant shot !....made my day !!!!!!.
Outstanding capture. Amazing!
Agree with Geoff, a little more space at the bottom maybe. But such a great shot, fantastic detail and the humour makes this a winner. Nice one.
he's a stunner
this one made me smile John, lovely
A cracker John..Shortlisted
Great idea - like it
Simply superb, Fantastic shot.
This is fabulous, what a great shot. Love it..............Sandy
Hi johnjo,as mentioned the image is a little tight in the frame...However I often struggle with composition and beat myself up with what's right or wrong !!
I had a similar idea not so long ago,but never carried it through....wish I had now
For innovation, detail and pose I award my UA Excellent mate & I love it.
Superb image, perch and consequent title........all came together so beautifully.
COULD SAY THE CATCH OF THE DAY OR NOT?.
NICE SHOT ,.
Possibly the best kingfisher shot i have seen on this site, well done, the sign makes the image.
What a fabulous shot - well done indeed !
A beauty mate !
think its a cracker. shortlisted.lesley
Thank you all for your positive input on this photograph and for your observations about the tightness of the framing, you have a point. It is very affirming; finding the Kingfishers, getting the hide sorted out, perches etc. was a six month project, which has been very worth while. Of course taking the photographs and watching these amazing little birds is reward in itself, but your votes and comments have made it doubly so, thank you all.
Also special thanks to Dean for his UA, it means a lot to me.
Haa, that is great.
Lovely shot and amusing too.
I admire his spirit- **** a snoot at authority !!! Superb capture.
Perfectly timed and captured - just love that expression of flouting authority. I do agree with Dean that perhaps the crop is a tad tight and as you have such a wonderful clean bg I might have been tempted to extend the canvas upwards to give more headroom. However, this is still a stunning and very original capture - simply superb.
Have my User Award Johnjo it's one shot i wish i had taken !
I agree with Geoff, a seller!!
The crop looks fine to me, theres so much humour and detail in the shot that it doesnt need any more of that glorious bokeh
All the Best
Love this - top shot Johnjo - worth all the effort. A cracking image well deserving of its awards.
An outstanding image, one to be proud of
