They cannot be performing bank managers.
If they were, with the large bonuses they would be receiving,
they would look a lot happier than this miserable lot !!
Nirvana, the ultimate goal of Buddhists, means the cessation of craving and ignorance - so a bunch of Buddhists atop a bank stand seems somewhat ironic. Maybe that is the humour?
'Lost a pound and found a penny' comes to mind, Mick!
Well observed and taken!
Excellent candid Mick,
Super candid image Mick, great capture
Brilliant Mick, really made me laugh..Lin
Come on Mick, they can't let on they've got loads of our money. A smile would give the game away.
What a strange scene---
7 well fed guys trying to look riots---
Maybe that is not a good bank???
They do look a miserable lot, they probably want more, you know what these bankers are like. - Gary
So true, Mick.
Is this a Silly Sunday shot. Or a Moody Monday. They all seem to be in bad moods.
Not the happiest troop !
Wildly incongruous. Mind, I did a double take, I thought you'd been off on exotic foreign travel.
I have looked with care. Not one of them has a fringe! Perhaps they were hoping for fringe benefits
Are you sure they were not doing a show later on? From the left: Grumpy, Sneezy, Sleepy, etc etc.
Well reported, Mick!
Are they all wearing Dunces hats?
That does seem an inappropriate platform for these characters, Mick, and they must be deep in contemplation as they look less than animated.
Always interesting to see what turns up at the Fringe.
We have enjoyed our two visits through this summer although on Friday last, although the weather forecast was fine, we got caught in a torrential downpour as we made our way back to Waverley.
I thought Buddhists (if that's what they are) scorned wealth and riches?
PS - thanks for your very supportive comments on "Ghosts" yesterday. Considering the number of votes I got, I'm not sure too many people share your view .........
a fine example of controlled enthusiasm or possibly spontaneous indifference the expressions are priceless good one Mick
Must be one of the most incongruous scenes from Edinburgh.
I wonder if they'll be voting for independence Mick?
Simply praying that the bank won't let them down!!!!
Totally brilliant Mike.
Ive never seen Buddhist at a festival Mick, but I need to get out more. A great candid too.
Collective name for a group of bankers is a 'wunch'......
At the third from the right is holding his own in that lineup.
Great moment captured here Mick, the staff in my bank are always undoubtedly happy in the thought that they are ripping the customer off to the extent, at least I have no money to worry about.
It's obviously not performing well enough for this miserable looking bunch! Looking at their hats, I thought at first they were Smurfs in different colours! A great fun shot Mick
Venturing to new subjects mikbee?
This is rusty humour and by the way I am not a Buddhist.
If they were they would be in suits ..playing
with our money
Great shot Mick
Think the third one in has nodded off
I assume you didn't stay for the performance, Mick, to give us an idea of what they are up to. I thought those hats were pretty weird until I found this and this.
