A set of images of some of the double late angelique tulips that were in full bloom in my back garden a few weeks ago. The best of the display is over but there are still a few that have survive the wind and rain of the past month.

These are as lovely as I have ever seen - they look almost like wild roses, they have that delicacy.

or Two lips? Seriously, I'd never guessed. I was just wondering what they are, deciding myself between 1 and 4 and then I saw the comments.
Lovely colours and the most unusual tulips I've ever seen.

I know you know your flowers Ed, so I'll take your word for it that this is a member of the tulip family, frankly that's about the last genre I'd have thought of for this beautiful, but untulip like, flower. There I go flauting my ignorance again Wink
