One can spend ages just wandering around The Stade, a wide angled lens is quite a good option but I prefer standing back a little and scanning the scene with a 70 - 300 mm zoom lens.
Lazy,perhaps, but minimises the risk of tripping over something in darkening light, in fact for this one the floodlights had just come on !
