Hi Jackie
Give you the species yesterday, excellent clarity on V1! To get the both in focus on V2 means setting the camera at f16 or smaller I would go for f22, this then means slow shutter speed so use of tripod required, with your lens the DOF is very shallow at the long end.

Cheers Trev, I was frightened to go too small in case I lost the shallow DoF, but I will give it a try if the opportunity arises again Wink

I thought they were too big to be Damselflies, I thought maybe, a small chaser of some sort.

Stunning macro images - really must try to find me some of these!!

I don't think these are damselfly - one clear difference between damsels and dragons is that damsel eyes do not touch at the top (as these appear to). If you google 'large red damselfly' you will see what I mean.
