Dream is located on the old Sutton Manor Colliery site and consists of an elongated white structure 20 metres (66 ft) tall, weighing 500 tons, which has been cast to resemble the head and neck of a young woman with her eyes closed in meditation. The structure is coated in sparkling white Spanish dolomite, as a contrast to the coal which used to be mined here.

It is an amazing sculpture which can be seen for miles around and when you are close the atmosphere is serene.

I think the expression/mood changes slightly as you walk round the site and from a distance it can look a little distorted. Judging from your user name I'm assuming you originate from down the road?TongueWinkGrinGrin

Thanks for the comment/vote and hope you are able to find the time you need to do more photography.

Regards

Keith
