Some shadows from the deck of a working dredger moored at the side of the harbour.
I was speaking to the guys on deck and they told me you would be surprised how big the rocks can be that the strong underwater current can bring into the harbour.
They have to be cleared for obvious safety reasons to allow the boats to come in and out.

Some mighty fine shadows on this dredger--- Love the tangle of ropes and such, as well as the colors!

Love the mix of colors here Mick and the good old rusty bits too, Think you should have nicked a bit of that rope to tie Simon up with when he gets back from gallivanting about

Nice dark and defined shadows, Mick. Good collection of shapes too!

Excellent definition and depth. I really should use f8 more often.

This has all the elements of a perfect RAS shot, Mick: rust and old rope, looping chain, bubbling paint and other delights. Strangely enough I can not begin to describe any of it as grot. Are my powers waning?

Shedloads of ropes, leads and chains to trip you here, Mick. Not the place to wander around after visiting the Leith Dockers Club, even if one is fleeing from Big Aggie!

Lovely figure of 8 work on those ropes, Mick.
Not even a big dredger will get away from that lot.
I was looking at the Shadows in the background.
I can see a 'P' and a 'U', which also sounds like a good idea.
