The Medway II on its way to work, dredging Walney Channel.

I expect this big lady is responsible for keeping the channel open for BAE Systems in Barrow in Furness, who are presently putting the finishing touches to HMS Astute. This is probaby the spot to be when Astute eventually sails off to serve with the Royal Navy. (I'm hoping to be standing on this very spot!!)

In the large view, I think there's the silhouette of the 'driver' or should I say 'Captain'.... in the top white bit.... arghhh I know NOTHING about boats.... sorry !!

Thanks for looking and for all your comments and attention. helen x
