Lovely composition and crop. The dry stone wall is as much a part of the traditional Lakes landscape as the fells and the sheep.

Beautiful scene, Philip, and I like the prominence given to the dry stone wall, as well as the moss upon it, and also the curves of the wall in the background.

Pamela summed it up perfectly, it's all about the wall.

Excellent composition. Beautiful scene altogether. I love the details of what we in Scotland refer to as a Dry Stane Dyke with its gorgeous covering of moss. Always interests me to see how different these are depending upon the part of the UK we are in and the local stone of course.

The scene is nice. There is a strong cyan colour cast in the image, and it looks really good if thats addressed. Its noticeable in the white coulds which are slightly blue. Correction has a warming effect on the wntire image.

if you are interested, and handy with Photoshop, heres how you can remove the cast: http://www.dpchallenge.com/tutorial.php?TUTORIAL_ID=24

Willie
