Hi guys,
Well as you can see I'm still a very 'green' photographer. I wanted to catch the perfect moment, but of all the photos I took this one was maybe the most presentable. Please comment and critique. Thanks Smile

it's well times, and I'm a sucker for split-action shots of water in all its frenzy. However, for it to work I think the subject and a lot of the water has to be pin-sharp. Another problem is that it's hard to make out the eyes of the bird as they're slightly in shadow.

I see the shutter speed was 1/200 - I think even this may be just not quite enough for this to work, but I can see yourother settings (aperture and ISO) are stretched, so maybe there just wasn't enough available light for it to work properly with a narrower aperture to keep more of the spray in focus.

A good try but the kind of shot that probably needs loads and loads of trial and error..

Stephen
