Just trying to get up-close and personal with the local wildlife - I would welcome any comments. Thank you

Nice attempt at ducks Matt, I like the fact that you can see the water droplets in the shot.
If I may offer my tuppeneth worth (feel free to take with a pinch of salt!), I haven't been photographing long, so this may be total rubbish!
It looks like the light may have been an issue, in which case it may have been worth trying ISO 400 to get a good shutter speed, the 350D gives quite reasonable pictures at that setting.
I would have waited until there was some space between the two ducks.
Was the focusing mode in AI Servo? If it wasn't, it's worth trying (you may need to set the camera to P). AI Servo is continuos focusing so can cope quite well with moving subjects (especially if they are in the center of the frame).
If you can, shoot in RAW rather than jpeg (I'm asuming this is in jpeg) as this gives you much more flexibilty to control what's output and correct minor exposure issues. Pixmantec do a product called RawShooter Essentials which is a very good RAW converter and is free. The downside to RAW is that there is some need to do some extra processing on your shot before it's ready and the images are larger in the camera, but it's worth it.
With wildlife, I've found it's a matter of practice, practice and more practice. Then practice some more.
Anyway, hope this little ramble helps, keep practicing!
Thank you for your encouragement and advice Ben.
