Beautiful sky Derek, and the dereliction of the boat is emphasised by the white snow patches. Lovely atmospheric image.

Quote: This captures the atmosphere of Dungeness so well and I'm glad you found that sky! Sorry I wasn't there!
Ann
I was lucky to get this Sky Ann, The weather was very dull most of the day but I arrived late so decided to stay on when most of the others had left.
Quote: A very nice shot Derek, it displays the somber isolation very well. I wonder if you could clone out the two rectangular objects on the right, they are rather dense and tend to pull the eye a bit. Very well done either way.................Bob
The rectangular objects are derelict fishing huts Bob. They are synonymous with the beach at Dungeness so I would want to remove them.
Quote: The sky works well with the bleak foreground.....that boat looks like it needs a bit of work! ![]()
I think its what is known as a 'non-runner'
Wow! Beaurifully composed and processed image, Derek.
Alun
Derek - Dungeness as I've never seen it before.. The decaying boat, the huts and the plant in the backround are shown in a totally different light here, literally! That moody sky and the dusting of snow on the beach really add to the foreboding atmosphere - wish I was there ![]()

Never to crest another wave, the life has gone out of this old hulk left to become a photographers model. You did her proud Derek, a fitting image at the end of the life of a working boat.
Dougie
Quote: Just out of interest Derek, what time was this ?
I left around 16:30 so if it is 16:35 I will be kicking myself ![]()
I dont have access to the Exif info at the moment Jeff but it would have been around 17.00hrs
