A Dunnock (Prunella modularis), also known as Hedge Sparrow, perching on the rusty handle of an old garden roller. After lying low all winter, our resident Dunnocks are suddenly getting very frisky!
Taken 8.6m from subject, F2.8, handheld and in overcast conditions, this is a large crop, as I was trying out a different lens to see what it could do.
Many thanks for your support of yesterdays upload - always very much appreciated ![]()

Wow what a result of the try out - a beautiful image of this photographically underrated bird Sylvia.

Fine image Sylvia, that is going to be a great combination for you.

A fine shot of this lovely little dunnock, as Mike has already pointed out such an underrated and unassuming little bird
