markymarc shots are much better I need to revist this over the weekend........

DVDR (as the flip side is blue or purple) a few drops of water, a macro lens, and a flash light in the right place !

Looks good to me! What do you like better about mine, are you trying for more colour? I found that indirect light makes the best colours. I basically just move the light around while looking through the viewfinder until I find a position that makes nice colours. Your purple tones have a nice calm feel to them though. DVD-R is a good choice, CD's and commercial DVD's just don't make as much colour I've found.

On this shot I'd say it could be imporved by losing the out of focus foreground drop, other than that it looks great. -click-

Top shot. Not seen Markymarcs yet but will do. A great macro/abstract shot.

Had to do a macro shot for a comp a while ago and had a similar idea (drops on a gore-tex jacket). Wish I'd had an idea like this (but I still won - so nevermind!)
