...a visit to Loch Clair early one morning, after dawn had broken, the light was sliding under a band of cloud and hitting the reeds but not Liathach in the BG.

Again, that harsh acid yellow tone against the cold greys - this is so evocative. Have to go out, will come back for a longer look later.

A clear beautiful reflection which is nicely added to by the FG grasses bring colour to the monochrome reflection as well as a lead in line to the LHS, from where my eye is then drawn across the landscape to the right. Very effective composition as well as a beautiful image.

Love the very precise lines of the mountains in the reflection, the superb composition and the softness of the reeds and trees against the steely greys of the background.

Can'y better Alan's {almiles} comments, Dougie, with which I agree in total, and with Moira's remarks about the acid yellow against the greys: not a very original thought from me today, I know, must be that Monday morning feeling and looking out on a grey drizzleWinkWink.

Wow - stunning light and colour Dougie! The combination of the yellow of the reeds and the greys is magnificent. Nature at her best - this was a special moment!
