Hiya herman. A beauty and love the reflection ![]()
I live in quite a built up area so views like this I don't see often.
Kathryn
A wonderful landscape nice shadows and good texture.
Well done. WesternRed.
It looks perfectly level, Herman (check the reflections in the water, they should be vertically below what they are reflecting).
Dave
Scenes like this do trick the brain sometimes Herman, excellent landscape and reflection., the dust add to the dry environment.
Regards
Trev.
Me and my vertigo.......... I like the original and initially thought that the water was level so it must be the fine. The modifications tell a different story and I do like the modifications here, but, is the story not in what the viewer sees
. Now all I have to do is pack some sandwiches, sit at the side of the river and enjoy that view.
as above ...An image with several elements that are wonderful. The reflection and dust that make Leventa special way thanks to google translate ![]()

I think it's difficult to be sure about how level the horizon is without a stretch of water present: the slope of the land in your own shot looks quite natural to me.
And a very attractive landscape it is with some strong reflections adding interest.
Ronnie.
A beautifully lit landscape, well captured. The land is obviously on a slope, yes it's A1 for me.

You always go by the horizon
Fence posts can easily tilt. My first lesson was to not shoot the person on the beach as straight, if I did, the ocean was always tilting.
There is also the factor of vertical perspective which can throw you off also.
Anne
The upper third is over-exposed, the middle third is a largely un-interesting expanse with a burnt out wash of dirt/smoke whilst the lower third is a bit of a bit of a fence line with a reflection awkwardly squeezed into the composition. There is no strength in the composition and it is in that respect where this is let down.

A nice scene despite the comment two above Herman, it looks fine to me the way it is, but I do note it is in fact about 1.5 degrees off, how do I know?, simply by the reflection of the mountain peak, it should be perpendicular, that's the only measure you can use here, surprised no-one else has mentioned that!
Rgds., Jim
hey Herman, I missed this one. What a beautiful place to live. And you are there to see and capture it. I love this photo.
