Playing with processing still, I tried following a Joel Grimes post edgy processing tutorial for this one. My first attempt at his style of processing and it won't be the last ![]()
I probably could have chosen a better background for the subject but I simply chose the first portrait landscape I came across in my folders to experiment with.

I think Joel Grimes strongly backlights his subjects for this type of composite so that the blend is more natural to the eye, especially if you follow the logical path of the light from behind around the edges of the subject, and then some kind of global change to tie both elements in. Notwithstanding that I really like the portrait. I think this type of image needs to be shot with this end result in mind, but I am clicking for the lovely portrait.

A really beautiful portrait with impact. The processing is excellent although there may be a slightly darker area along the line of her hair on the rhs. It's very, very faint and may well be my eyes - LOL. Outstanding shot.
