A fine and well exposed composition which has captured this attractive street scene extremely well. I wonder if a crop down the RH side to remove the temporary road sign would improve the image?

Ah the Royal Mile, where else, glad you got here Johanna, my home town, the cobbles bring back memories, some good some bad, people and horses slipped on them when it rained. There's always a bustle down this oldest street in Edinburgh.

Excellent, well detailed and exposed Johanna. You chose a good POV which does enhance the composition.I have to admit I have never been there.

A super capture of this lovely city, Johanna Smile. And you've got blue skies & sunshine, too! Every time I've been there - albeit only on days out from other Scottish places I've stayed at - it's rained! Sad

Excellent street shot - they are difficult to achieve in bright sunlight because because of the difference of exposure between light and shadow. Well balanced light and shadow here. A

Not often you get such a unobstructed view, Johanna: usually this spot is bunged up with buses and parked vehicles. The building in the centre was John Knox's house. Lovely shot.

Now where have I seen this before Smile Have to admit McGonagall had it right Johanna, and Ronnie beat me to identifying John Knox's house, also agree with him about getting such an unobstructed view, any time I've been there - though it's many a year - it's always been mobbed!
