This is new territory for me as I try a panorama based on three handheld images taken on the IXUS. The only stitching software that I have is that which came with the Canon cameras - I think it has made a tolerably good job here.

A lovely quiet bay with a marvellous name "Eggemoggin".

Please do let me know what you think of this and how I might approach future endeavours of this kind - thank you in anticipation, Mike

No stitches visible! It's an ideal subject for a pano, with broad, sweeping lines and a nice balance between bottom left and top right.

Excellent for hand held. I remember this well, I spent a lovely weekend at Eggemoggin Inn. Beautiful spot.

My respects, Mike! And to the Ixus and the software. I have never had the foresight to prepare this kind of image; this one works extremely well and looks prety seamless to me.
I hope the final vote tally isn't too disappointing; the image doesn't hit you between the eyes, it creeps up gently but insistently, which is not always popular. Suits me fine though Smile
Regards
Bill

Good work Mike - very good indeed. The panorama programme works well.
The view is terrific, the little island with the church on it is beautiful. Large is definitely a must.

Hi Jo and all - the "church" is actually a lighthouse as featured in my earlier image Thanks for all the encouragement, Mike

Looks a great job!

Wonderful image!

Have just spent ages looking at this in the large version & have to admit it is amazing.
The greenery on the foreshore has a most fantastic 3D effect, & you can see so much detail to the little island with the lighthouse.
Couldn't see any joins, so your programme is working well.
Hilary
