an Eider sitting serenely on her eggs
very easy to walk straight past them as they blend in so well
i normally wouldn't be so intrusive but this one has hoards of feet tramping past her every day
they get agitated around hatching a sure clue the chicks are about to emerge
soon as they're all out its down to the water with the other Eider families, often the chicks form a creche
but sometimes mum takes them straight out to sea!

She definitely blends in perfectly with her surroundings, well seen and photographed. I always enjoy watching the eiders when I'm down at Slimbridge
