Perfer this version for the high sky that seems to go better with the low horizon. Nice tonal range too.
I like them both. The sky is angrier in the other one, this one is aesthetically more pleasing. Enjoy your weekend Ollie. Regards, Bert
As with the previous version, there's a powerful sense of scale and drama going on...

Super comp, so simple but so very effective. Great shot.

I'm jumping backwards and forwards between the two. The heavier sky suits the landscape format, it's quite oppressive. This gives a wonderful sense of space and freedom. They are two totally different pictures.
Thanks for your kind and encouraging comments, which I greatly value.

This version is very good, too. The portrait format give a great sense of scale to image. Best regards. Ovy
Hi Ollie,
This is an excellent version, love the sky with the small land below, shows us just how small we are as opposed to the sky and space. If i'd done a mod it would have been a pano,i wonder how that would look.I love this series so far and i'm sure i'll enjoy the rest just as much.take care.Ann![]()
i think i like this image alot better..well done.
alex
love the HUUGGE sky, great composition and sense of scale
steve
Great work - the immensity of the sky is awesome. Love the way the trees are dwarfed by it, and the choice of portrait style emphasises the scale very well.
