Having stood here for nearly an hour, jumping in the car twice to avoid squalls, and having to wipe the filters of rain often, the sunshine finally made an all-but-brief appearance here at Eilean Donan Castle allowing me to get a shot or two before it was hidden behind ominous black clouds once more. By the time the sun did break through the clouds, the tide had disappeared!
Minutes later, having made it back to the car, the heavens opened and it looked like the rain was going to be there for a while.

I think I visited this castle 20 years ago shortly after the filming of Highlander with Christopher Lambert and 007.... Brilliant location where all the locals were Extras and apparently huge comrades of Sean Connery being fellow Clansman ~ It was all very amusing and led me to purchase the Video as a result!
Lovely to recapture that visit

Yes, good capture. I was here April, but my complaint was too harsh sunshine!! We hung about until last light when castle was lit up. Beautiful (see my PF).
Superb capture with lovely colours.

Stunning capture! Love the sky, the castle and the beautiful rusty colors in the detailed foreground. A lovely image, Patti
