Be nice to me as this is from my first ever photo session. The photograph is of my daughter, Eilidh, who kindly posed as my first model. I know there are one or two things that could be improved and maybe the style is a bit generic but I'm pretty pleased with it as a first attempt.
Critique from the studio buffs would be greatly appreciated.

love those lips especially .. you really have caught them well
You used light in a very interesting way..with her white shirt, and white background, and by slightly overexposing, you abstracted all elements not white, and brought them to the "front". Nice photo. And, you do have a beautiful daughter.
Firstly congratulations on a very beautiful daughter, the Titian hair is superb and you've managed to use reds with clashing with Eilidh's tresses. I'm no expert on studio lighting I'll leave that to others. For me it's a lovely relaxed portrait of a confident young woman,let's hope the world is kind to her.

Sandy, Eilidh's toes are a different colour because she had tights on - one of the things that I had already picked up on (too late on the day though).
Eilidh will also be pleased with your comments on her beauty, something she finds hard to believe!

agree with the comments above,but everything taken into account it is a great first go at it,getting the sitter at ease is hard.....can take a lot no matter who it is....try doing stupid stuff like rolling around on the floor or jumping up and down sounds crazy but works !!
