Yosemite is an iconic location full of powerful nature. Here El Capitan towers over the rest of these granite monoliths. Monochrome the only way for this image.

Works well in monochrome Ron, a tribute to the master

A simply great image.
We travelled through Yosemite in 2006 and when I drove to this spot, I too got out the jeep and just said WOW.
I wonder, did you climb the path to the top of the Vernall Falls? Although very very tiring, it was worth the effort and I was embarrised by an eigthy year old local lady coming down having already climbed to the top...!
This place is stunning and I would love to return.
Kindest Regards
Burnsie
That shaft of light cutting across the foreground is so important!
Love the effect of the distortion, the wilderness is towering over us menacingly.

Stunning view from stunning Yosemite!
Wonderful in B&W as seen in Mr AA's images from gone by times.

The distortion and mono work perfectly here Ron.

A good use of pov for this shot of El Capitan. We photographers so often think of Ansel Adams when seeing images of Yosemite, so yes, mono seems to be the best choice, and seems to work best to show the grandeur.
