Another taken along the shoreline of Lake William where my 'dewdrop' photos were taken last year. Sitting on the rocks the water appears blue but dive in to cool off and it's like swimming in a strong brew of black tea with all the tannins in the water. When you walk along the shore, as the water gets shallower it also appears paler. The blues are where the sky is reflecting in the water, the firey reds and the yellow is a combination of the pale sand and the tannin-rich water. The needle-y bits are from a nearby overhanging tree. It's a special place - it's known to be an old Aboriginal sacred site...The kind of place I like to Sit and Be.
1/320 sec, f/10, ISO 1000. Border added, resized and USM applied in Photoshop.
