The end of a glorious summer evening at the loch....
Only downside was the midgies - managed a few shots before beating a retreat.

A midge net for the head and some good anti-midge solution alows you to enjoy these moments in the serenity they deserve.

Usually carry stuff too, Fraser, not this time. Worth a few bites though, maybe.

A low light photographic composition which could only be composed and manufactured in heaven above. Stunning.

We could all be led to believe that an evening by this loch in a chair would be tranquil and restful - but for those dreaded midges! Well - I'm glad you managed one or two images as the light is amazing and love those reflections.

Wonderful composition with those grasses in f/g.
Amazing sunset and reflection in water.
You don't say which loch but I'm sure you'd find a great picture
wherever it was.
I expect you've tried 'Skin-so-Soft' to try and combat the midges.
It helps a little.
