Had a great evening yesterday with a group of colleagues from Southport PS at Rixton Claypit, near Warrington. It is an old brick works and is now a nature reserve and SSSI.
We only briefly saw one dragonfly but damselfies were abundant together with some butterflies and other insects. A very interesting place away from the madding crowd!
