Please describe your photo here.
I was attracted by the contrast between the soft foliage and the geometric shapes of the chapel and sought to emphasise this.

Beautifully lighting. Clean and well defined.

It's neatly composed with good detail on the architecture, Geoff, but those strong shadows pull the eye, and one obscures the bottom of the church. However, I do like the long shadows cast by the headstones.
The light is good for accentuating the facade, but I can only suggest trying at a time of day when it is either more overhead, or less strong. An alternative would have been to move to the right and try to get the shadows directly behind the shrubs. In this respect, it can usually provide a better image if a church is taken at such an angle. The light is coming from the left and you would therefore find that most of your image is nicely defined and with fewer deep shadows.

The light clouds in the sky are perfect, and you have some nice golden colour in the background trees.
You have definitely emphasized the soft and hard of the shrubs and stonework well.

Pamela.

A nice shot, good detail good colour. I like that shadow of the Cypress on the front of the church. You have good feedback from Pamela.

Theres a few areas in the grass at the bottom that appear smudged, as if some cloning had been done there?

Regards

Willie

Thanks for the advice and comments. The sunlight was very strong and I suspected the shadows might be too dense. I did clone out a very white headstone where Willie noticed the blurring - obviously need to improve my technique!
The chapel is quite close to home so I shall try again with your advice in mind.

Decent pictorial record. I am a little bit at a loss with the exposure details. F8 would be rather better and I would assume it available on that camera.
