He, in particular, looks almost like he's been superimposed. There's a distinct sharpening halo around his back and no obvious contact between his near foot and the ground. The background also looks very two-dimensional.

DRicherby - this was taken on location. I like to use LucasArt on people sometimes, it does give a more pronounced effect as if the location was really a background, but I just like that effect sometimes.
