Hi guys. After our Wirral meet, Stevenj decided to get a bit silly. Here is what he did, but however you look at it, it created a photo opportunity for me, and here you go. Comments are welcome.
Wow! Excellent Anthony!
See, I told you it would turn out well! Yes everyone, those are MY footprints ruining the shot!
Wot, no Editor's Choice award!
I can see a compo coming up .. the most creative ephotozine logo in a public place .. LOL And the prize could be ...
Oh dear! The beaches, snowfields, cornfields, whatever, of the world are about to be mutilated.......)
Not to mention the advertising fees!!
Thank you very much everyone. Stevenj's idea to do it, so I wont take all the credit, but i did take the picture. I think we all did in fact. All in the name of fun.
As for advertising, at least the beach will self clean itself every night. So, I can see someone being employed full time just to keep going back to the place to re do it.
Suzi, yes that would be a good competition, we could all print out a small ePHOTOzine logo, take it somewhere, and hide it within the picture somewhere for everyone else to find.
Thanks for the vote for Editors Choice comment Alan.
All the best
Pepsi Boy (Anthony)
good thinking, just had a look at youre site Anthony some good picture's m8
Nice idea Steven. Pity you couldn't find a decent photographer to shoot it for you.
(only joking guys
I don't think Suzi's idea is very good, or it will mean digging out some spray cans and my old abseiling gear....
I think this is a great shot, could the footprints have been more creative.. leading off and going into the sea maybe. Was the tide going in or out!!!
I like Suzi's idea but I see your point Big Bri. However 'letters', making up ephotozine perhaps, could be an idea; you know the sort of thing--- a wheel for'O', railings making an 'Z' or 'N' with an A-Z of something as the prize.
Was this the icing on the cake at the end of the day?! It's a great shot - what went wrong at Stourhead guys - no lasting memorial there
Make the footprints more creative indeed! I was more concerned about staying dry!
I have a really bad feeling I have started something I'm going to regret...!
But the sea's at its warmest about this time of year and the wave looks quite little!
LOL I'm getting this wonderful vision of the footprints leading out to sea and Steven cutting effortlessly through the waves .. tee hee !
Stay dry indeed .. tsk ..
You know how it is Suzi, anything for ePHOTOzine!
I suppose the next step would be to wade out to the lighthouse and paint 'EPZ' on the lens at the top! Now there's an advertising feat! I am full of good ideas, I tell you!
Well I have a few days away and somehow missed this set of comments completely. Had it not been for Steven trying to bribe me in a forum I'd have never have know what you lot are scheming! The excellent walking magazine Trail always used to have pictures of subscribers clutching onto their copy of Trail in remote high places. I like the idea. Bit worried about the police knocking on the door though with evidence of spray paints etc being used
This is brill! Nice one guys! The comp idea sounds good ;D
Hmmm Pete ... interesting thought ... however if we are to photograph ourselves clutching EPZ as we scramble about in strange places, we shall have to hoick laptops onto our backs .. in my case it will be a monitor, hard drive and VERY long lead ...
.. looks like I'll have to ditch the tent ..
or a lot of batteries suzi.
We've got printers.... We could clutch huge EPZ logos to our chests, wear them round our heads, fly them as flags......
go on then, after you!!
Or hang EPZ tee-shirts from odd places......
... like ... Buck House!!! guffaw
Well I let myself open to that, Antony!!! You never know, keep your eyes on the gallery, but give it a few weeks I'm still traditional!!
