Meant to upload this one weeks ago, as usual never got around to actually doing it Sad

A shot of the absolutely incredible Eurofighter Typhoon taken at RAF Leuchars Air show. I went to the East Fortune airshow earlier in the year and complained vehemently because the weather was shocking. At Leuchars, the weather was glorious, but boy, taking photo's of planes right into the sun is sooooooo difficult!
I must have fired have 200 - 300 shots that day, only a handful were any good!

I'm quite pleased with this one, just a lucky shot that captured it going past the runway like a bat out of hell. Taken on a very old Alpha 100 using the Sony 70 - 400 G lens which is incredibly heavy for a hand held shot!

I've since upgraded to an Alpha 65 with 12 frames a secound, hopefully this will help me out next year!

Great capture, but, sorry, whatever that might be it is definitely NOT the Typhoon. It's a swing wing I believe, probably the Jaguar, although I am not 100% sure. Still, great shot. Don

A Typhoon has delta wings, I think it's a Pan Avia Tornado, possibly a ground attack bomber GR1. But I'm not sure about this...
Whatever, it's a nice shot.

Oh bugger, the wife and I argued about this when we got back and started looking at the pics in comparison to the programme!

If it's not a Typhoon, then it's a Tornado - Either way, Google images here I come Smile

Ok, it's definitely a Tornado: -

Tornado

I got the first letter right, I mean - Tornado / Typhoon - a mistake any wrinkly could make !

Thanks for the positive feedback anyway Smile

A good shot in tricky conditions. Grin Typhoon indeed, oh dear, i wondered who'd be the first nerd in there. Hoped it might have been me! Grin Now the question is - did you listen to your wife, or were you the one who thought it was a Typhoon?

Alan, I have learnt over time it is not a good idea to have a different opinion to my wife. When she wants my opinion she gives it to me Smile
