I am just trying out my new wide angle lens. There is a bit of distortion but I thought the sky was a beautiful colour and the weather was fine today although the weatherman said it would rain. I am glad that sometimes they are wrong.

Congrats on the new lens, I also get distortion on my wide angle lens...a beautiful sky over the roof tops.

"Girls and their toys" Wink
I agree, Lightroom is a wonderful package for sorting out all manner of photographic 'problems'.
It would help with correcting the distortion, but not converging angles, if you have the camera tilted upwards.
That can be corrected in PS, which is another expense but well worthwhile - but I expect you knew all that, Harriet?!
Have fun.

GrinAll people who like photography as a hobby know about expense Simon.Wink I was pointing upwards in this shot as you noted, I was avoiding my clothes lines instead of having to clone. I have the same trouble at our country house, a huge power line just at the level of the balcony which has a wonderful view with four villages in sight. I get very angry with it.
If birds would use it to pose for me I might be less angry but they don't seem to like it either so I will just have to live with it.
