This is a scan of one of my black and white prints for my exam alevel work. I used Ilford HP5 film, i was aiming for a dark deep contrast and think i managed to achieve that.

Lovely result!

From your blog, there's an even better one of the same model, with a symmetrical view through the lychgate: but this is great.

My one suggestion for next time in these circumstances (like we all shoot under lychgates all the time...) is a little fill flash (or a white reflector) to throw a fraction more light into the model's face. Alternatively, dodge for 20% of the time when you're enlarging...
