The Handicrafts judge at our Town Show, inspecting a rather racy exhibit. She was kitted out with fishnets, suspenders, a lace garter and wonderfully frilly black satin knickers.
(I realise that the above sentence is ambiguous. Let me clarify: it was the doll wearing frilly black knickers, not the judge. Not that we saw the Judge's knickers of course, so I can't be certain about that).
I'm delighted to report that the Lady in Red won First in Category.
Thanks fr looking,
Moira

A charming report Moira - v1 is my favourite.
[as no-one guessed that my shadow was of my ironing board I changed my title to include the word yesterday - I thought it was obvious, no-one else did - but its fairly obvious here whose black knickers you are referring to]

A great trio of images, each crammed packed full with charm, character and an abundance of 'one liners'.

Excellent photo-journalism and I am glad you clarified the "knicker situation" but it does make one speculate about the judge Wink

I think you should have stopped digging way before the end of your description. You were just going from bad to worse. Made me giggle though (schoolboy that I am at heart Smile).
I did wonder though, why they seemed to be taking an unnatural interest in what was up the doll's dress.
A well executed observational portrait.

Thanks so much everyone. We are in a cottage somewhere in the Back of Beyond, with only occasional internet access, so I can't follow much of what is happening here. But I'm getting some new material!

She certainly spent a lot of time with the details Moira, seen or not seen. Great set of images during the judging, you do these so well.

The two ladies do have a certain expression on their faces – "Oh look! Completely anatomically correct!"
