Really cool idea but have you used an oval or square marching ants as the guy in the yellow coat jeans seem to fade. Try tracing carefully around individual figures with the polygonal tool. Really good idea though and like these alot. By picking out different individuals/groupings you have alot of images here that can be all put under the same umbrella.

Ithink the idea is very eye catching and thought provoking.
The natural point of interest in version 2 is a little to the right of centre where the 3 girls are walking towards the camera. However, the coloured area is to the left which causes a little confussion.
Version one is the one I prefer. The expression of the man in yellow is just right. With the coloured area set against the contrasty mono image, the man in yellow and his expression and the bald headed man to the left of centre give this image a futuristic look.
I like both photos and think they are inspiring.
