This is a gorgeous shot of your eye, the iris is very pretty (even in b&w).
I don't know if you have a computer programme for post processing (such as Photoshop), but if so then perhaps just a little tidying up would improve the image. For instance, I think I would use the 'Heal' tool on 4 pixels and just touch the odd bits of mascara under the eye.
(Edit: Mmmm. Looking at my modification I may have over sharpened the iris. I'm sorry I don't have time for another go right now, I'll try and have another go this afternoon.)
