I'm always drawn to flowers that are a little past their best (a bit like me!) and this lily was no exception. This is quite an unusual shot for me, as high key subjects are not really my sort of thing, I always prefer dark and gritty to light and pretty.
Inspired by yesterdays photo month theme, the lily was shot indoors, using a long lens and two vintage angle lamps for lighting. The rest of the bunch stood in a vase about six foot behind to form a nice blurred background.
