Lanyon Quoit, Cornwall, with a sky from the Lake District. I think the blue treatment makes it look like something out of a fairy tale. You may think different...
absolutely fantastic *click*

WOW! You need to award yourself an EC for that one, brilliant
Lovely treatment that has been done well, should get an EC Award, but the old grouch doesn't give them out that often,he he.
Love the treatment on this one - terrific picture.
Its fantastic - I would not have known it was two photos until I'd read your comment. I love it.
No, I don't think different! Very striking.
I think this is one of two EC contenders posted in the last half hour. Probably now a one-horse race after that last comment! (The last one you'll be involved with this week hopefully Andy)
Grimms fairy tales or "The Hobbit" for this shot Pete, probably the Hobbit. The merge has worked exceedingly well but then, we should expect that I suppose Gets my click, I like it a lot,
What would we do without Photoshop!!!
The colour treatment you've given is perfect. Well done.
I think it's a brilliant piece of work.
Wow... thanks everyone
With that sky, I think it looks more like the "second coming".
Stunning clarity in the stones with nicely lit front edges, giving an almost 3D look.
Brilliant. Great composition and I love the colour.
Beautifully put together. Very atmospheric. You can almost hear the Baskerville Hound howling.....
I know why you are the expert now and Im the amateur! Excellent work Pete. Superb shot in the first place and awesome when combined with the sky.
Excellent shot, Pete, I love this one.
Excellent work, very ethereal with a certain foreboding. Good mask work. click
Fantastic effect, Pete. Literally and metaphorically! The perspective (or maybe the light) of the sky isn't quite 'right' and I think that creates the odd, fairy tale feel. I love this.
I've just come from looking at 'Stone Circle 2' and the difference in moods is quite striking.
I agree that this one should get an EC.
Very moody. I like the texture of the stones.
This works really well. It's almost a shame you had to tell us how you created it as it looks natural.
I see you're a big fan of slightly tinged with blue - not only in your own images but also in your selection of EC's. I'm guessing if you saw this you'd give it an EC, so go on, give yourself an EC. I'm sure most people wont mind.
Wow - stunning shot, Pete and great treatment afterwards. Gives it a sort of ethereal daylight feel.
I would give you a Warb for this!!
hey mari! if ur name was 'warb' maybe. the cheek!
blimey charlie! thats alright innit, whos this pete chap then? not a bad 1st upload.
*congratulations this photo has received a tea bag...award.
Wow-that is stunning-agree it should have a EC.click.
Yep - def an EC, it's a cracker!
Yes, I'd wholly agree - definitely worth an EC.
Wow! A tea bag!
This is a very effective composite composition (!) The two parts go well together, and the blue toning looks good too.
Technical wizardry! They've said it all above.
Unreal. Totally excellent.
so, exactly what blue treatment is that then? the rocks look like they're covered in moss. what did you do to it, pete. looks great!
Agreed... or one for 'The Book'!
It works, very striking.
Stunning work Pete. Great composition and combination of images.
Simply Beautiful!!! Looks almost 3D.
Tried to be the odd one out and find something to criticise about it, but I can't! I love it.
It's ok I suppose. )
Excellent very atmospheric image with great textures and tones. It's a much photographed site though and I think Pete looks for originality.
Great photograph and treatment Pete.
I imagine this would look superb in a variety of tones and each one would impart a different feel to the image
Nice one Pete. Alan
You have made a very atmospheric photo. It's fantastic, I love it.
This is indeed a Super image, completely PERFECT, go one then, an INDIGO AWARD , click (*:*)
Stunning, it has that fantasy look and 3d photo at the same time-
Well done Pete! Very stunning!
Good capture and a well created image. There is a touch of Ansell Adams about. The sky is dark and forboding giving a sense of impending doom. Nice composition, the bright patch of sky effectively creates a diagonal bottom left to top right. Excellent work.
I've been there myself and you've captured the mood of the place perfectly.Well done.
Well you can have a PC, people's choice, gets my vote.
Look at all this brown-nosing ....... pay no attention pete, they're just trying to make you remember them for an EC when they post pics!
Seriously, very good pic, lovely mood and atmosphere. Colour is great and the composition spot....go on, have an EC, you know you want to!
Very nice! Has a real "middle earth" feeling to it. Nice bit of manipulation.
There is so much writing on here I could hardly be bothered to read it, and then started to wonder why its got missed, and it surey deserves an EC, then I saw your name, oh well, One of your best, brilliant.
Pete I just had a thought, how about you introduce a "Reader's Choice" section, that automatically gets an RC award when it hits say 50 clicks, that way work like this that does deserve recognigtion could get voted for by the readers, just my two pennies worth.
what do other people think?
I do like to be different with my comments...so must say this is a load of rubbish.
just joking. fantastic.
Great! despite the PS. LoL
LOTR written all over it.
Nice image pete.
Stunning image! Agree with comment above about readers choice, good idea. Living in Cornwall I see a million images of the Quoit in shops and on postcards etc. Have to say I haven't seen one this striking anywhere!
They all surely know how to lick ASS!!!!!
No joking aside, its a superb photo. If you don't want the EC, can I have it????
Pleased to be the 60th click.
A definite readers choice!
I don't think i've ever seen a picture with so many clicks! Worth every one
Pete why not give your self a "MC" M=Members!! Alan
Technically brilliant, excellent created composition, out-standingly well executed. On top of all that it's good to look at! A good use of manipulation and two excellent original shots merged effortlessly. Even the light seems to match! 64 Clicks and a book full of comments in a few days!!! EC-EC-EC!
Just got to this in the galleries, even though I saw the forum thread on it. Certainly worthy of all these clicks and comments, it's fantastic Pete.
The members choice is a good idea, put it on the list :o)
Lovely Moody Pic!
Clever work, excellent image. Well done Pete.
Superb shot and brilliantly executed digital enhancement. There seems to be and inner light in the stones. Gets my vote.
awesome fiddling Pete!
the result is special.
Missed this one somehow, super shot ! Love the colour and sky is awesome.
Lovely manipulation Pete! Beautiful tones & lighting, like this alot!
This definitely gets a GG= Grandma's Greats )) Certainly looks like fairyland with the bluetone and a sky from the Lake district and stones from Cornwall . By ... you travel fast . Wonder if you'll get a EC for this one , you should . Mavis
Reminds me of Lord of the rings - great stuff
Wonderful composition and processing. A real winner Pete. Well done.
Just had to give this a click. Simply stunning! should have won an 'editors choice' award in my opinion. Can you award yourself Pete?
no one of the downsides to being in control of dishing out ECs
Why not have an 'MC' for piccies like this? - 'Members Choice'. If, Pete, you get a certain no of 'clicks' from members (say, 30 for a piccy?) then you are awarded one!
- oh and by the way - 'click'
superb pic Pete, you certainly know your photography.
thanks Andy and Neil, comments appreciated.
Nothing I could say that hasn't already been covered, but all the same very nice image like it a lot. I think it deserves a Warb.
I CAN SUM THIS UP IN ONE WORD PETE FANTASTIC

Ooh, nice pic btw, not too keen on the burnt out highlight though.

Always said this should have got an EC. Go on then . . .
Too late..gone past 100
Gwan gwan gwan gwan

gwan gwan gwan gwan...
Nice one Pete!
You just HAVE to, it's blatantly unfair not to,
With all these positive comments I do believe that your photo has been nominated for an EC. It's excellent and the manipulation has been carried out to a very high standard.
maybe when I get to 200 clicks
Have another one...
Okay - how'd I miss this one?
For some reason it makes me think of the scones I made in cookery.
The teacher (tried) to take a bite struggled womanfully on and eventually decided I was entirely wasting everyones time trying to learn to cook. The only person in the history of the school to be chucked out of cookery.
Anyway great picture.
You've lost me M...lol
Hmmmmm dunno why but I want to add a knight on a motorcycle, holding a sword, in the foreground, with a princess in distress somwhere in the distance and an evil wizard drawing lightning down from that stunning skyscape.............
clicked it anyway 'tho
It is a brilliant image, love the tones and drama of this image.
brilliant Image, Great Stuff!
Is that Gandalph riding in from the East...
Lovely image. very impressive portfolio.
Great great great! Tell me you're having this framed and hung up on a wall?! This is stunning, gorgeous, amazing!! This is the sort of quality I'm striving for and the fact that it's two shots makes it even more impressive.
If I could vote twice I would!
Love the tones of this. Gives it a very eerie quality.
I'm liking the stones, and the tones used.. Another place for me to visit someday.
looks good to me
very powerful. the thing with images like this is that once you have them, they're there forever.
Excellent Peter- truly surreal
nice composition pete, upon closer inspection i've found the light source and shadows on the stones to clash!
the sun is on the right behind the stones, yet we have light falling on the stones from the left.
regardless, this is a truly stunning image. beautiful exposure through out.
That is the nicest shot I think i have EVER seen. Simply amazing. The day I start taking stuff like that i will have made it
Amazing shot with great sharpness
Like the atmosphere with sky - superb!
So I found your portfolio Pete. I am still not familiar with how to use the site and don't find too much time to look around on the net however this site is great!
I just wanted to tell you I really like your Stones and Ruins photo gallery! Great shots and great color shades added to the BW. This one is my favourite probably with the blue tint.
Found this while searching through the galleries for mono images. This is a truly stunning image with great detail and atmosphere, the blue treatment works so well.
Interesting to see what was going on in 2004! What's taken for granted today, much harder back then and so all the more impressive...
