although i would have preferred the flamingo on the left with the dark background 
Unusual and very beautiful. There's a paradox in this - the rising lines on the left are positive, dynamic; the flamingo's head is pointing downwards, sad and pessimistic. I like the tension between the two. Clever work.

Edit - Oh, and the shallow depth of field and use of light are just superb! This deserves a lot more attention than it's getting.
