Hi everyone

I haven't uploaded for quite a while now, and I'm sure some started celebrate in the thinking that I'd stopped using EPZ, but they were wrong - as you can see here Smile

Now - I had no picture to upload at first, as I have been SO busy lately. I had an activity week last week you see, involving cookery, police talks, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, caving, high ropes, low ropes, trapeze, zip wire, drugs talk, guns talk, knives talk, first aid course 1, first aid course 2, a forensic scientist talk, a taekwondo team, a magistrates visit, sports and a visit to a driving range to play golf! Smile So, I haven't really done much last week... Sad

Anyway, we have a gardening club at school, and I grew these little mange-touts and peas from my windowsill since they were seeds, and I've nurtured them throughout their tough lives in our awful thick, clay-like soil that we were given at the back of school to plant them when they became too big for the bedroom. Smile

Three weeks ago we picked them from the plants and ate them from the pods. My first produce. I'm not exactly a farmer, but I was still very proud of my produce, and it was very tasty to eat.

I spent ages trying to get the right angle for this picture, and I hope the hard work growing and taking has really paid off Smile

Thanks for looking
Jonah

You've caught them looking really fresh and crisp - there's nothing quite like eating straight from the garden! Well grown, photographed and presented! Smile

I like this capture very much - it looks very fresh - as I spent the afternoon putting broad beans and runners beans down to freeze this caught my eye !!!!

Great fresh greens Jonah,I bet they were as sweet as they look.

Quote: involving cookery

Are you now going to cook a Sunday roast for your parents ? Wink

Type of shot that all of us could take quite easily but never do, so well done for they idea.

Nice shot and not a problem with this one but perhaps a few points to consider for the future.

1) Do not attempt to be too precise with the arrangement every time , a more natural ( jumbled ) look may appeal better in some shots.

2) Do not scrape / wash earth off every time, having some "dirty" carrots will give the impression of just being dug up / fresh.

3) Have a try at using several vegetables / fruits in the composition.
Take a look at the booklets in the supermarkets or food magazines etc for ideas.

4) Consider a polarising filter for shiny objects like apples or even the mange touts you have in this shot.

Excellent shot, it is so nice to eat the produce that you have grown. We grew mange tout this year too Smile
