Today's Seal Photography thread got me looking again at photos from my Farne Islands visit at the beginning of September and I found these shots of young seals that I'd overlooked. It goes to show that you should never discard any but the most irretrievable of pictures

It's amazing how curious the seals are, especially the young ones, they will let the boat approach almost close enough to touch them before diving or swimming away. They really are the most beautiful animals and I'm hoping to go again this year, I'd love to go during the pupping season as I'm told it's quite a sight
